Project overview:

• 50 MW AC tracker mounted system on approximately 300 acres in Chase City, Mecklenburg County, VA
• Produces enough clean energy to power approximately 8,000 homes annually
• Construction took approximately 18 months

Services provided:

• Created construction drawings:
  • Prepared construction drawings detailing access, drainage, stormwater management and soil erosion control
  • 16 temporary sediment basin required for erosion control
  • 16 permanent extended detention stormwater basins and 7 level spreaders
  • 2 temporary construction and permanent driveway entrances
  • Jurisdictional impact designs for stream crossings and a wetland crossing
• Conducted permitting:
  • Land Disturbance Permits from Mecklenburg County, Stormwater permits from VADEQ
  • 3 driveway permits (2 permanent permits and one temporary permit), VADOT
  • Assisted with 401/404 jurisdictional impact permits, USACE/NCDEQ
• Provided construction administration and closeout:
  • Conducted periodic field visits during construction to ensure compliance with the approved plans
