We are pleased to announce that Nolan Laird has joined Ballentine Associates as an Engineering Intern. Originally from Pennsylvania, Nolan has a background in structural engineering. Nolan’s interest in the field of engineering came naturally – Nolan’s father, grandfather, and three uncles have all worked in various engineering disciplines.
Nolan says the things he likes most about engineering are the freedom of being able to be creative with the types of problem-solving solutions that civil engineering allows for, and the ability to occasionally get out in the field.
Nolan currently lives in Raleigh, and in his free time enjoys playing and watching or attending games with friends – he’s a Hurricanes and a Wolfpack fan for sure! Nolan also enjoys listening to live music at bars and concerts.
